Nick McDonough's Violets lose AA Zach Maher and NCAA Steeple
Qualifier Calvin Lee to graduation and Jack Fitzhenry to
transfer, but return a deep and talented squad led by '09 XC
AA Sebastian Schwelm (30:40 10k in '10) and T&F AA Matt
Turlip (AA Miler and 38th at NCAA XC in '09).
Returners from last year's squad include are Ryan
Boyd (9:15 SC), Andrew Zitek (3:55/14:46), and Dylan Karten
(14:56), while James Goldstein (4:18/9:22), Ross Wistar
(4:25/9:38), and Daniel Hyman-Cohen (2.5 mile Van Cortlandt
Park XC - 12:55) lead a deep incoming freshmen class.

The Blue Nights lose 3 of their top 7 to graduation, but
enter the 2010 season with a loaded team of veterans with
solid track credentials and a healthy infusion of
experienced transfers.
Expect Mike Wood's team to be led by Ryan O'Connor
(14:28), Lee Berube (14:29), Tim Chichester (30:28) and
Chris Mateer (31:26), and joined by transfers Eddie Novara
(Fredonia - All-Region '09), Tom Clark (Adelphi -
3:57/15:06), Matt Knott (Cortland), and Alex Brimstein (9:32
HS 3200 in 2008).
Freshmen Patrick Wortner and Anthony George join
returners Nick Pardee, Mark Streb, Alex Belensz, Lee Gabler,
Bill Juda, and Tim Chambers to add considerable depth.

Depsite losing four seniors in their top 7, the John
Newman's team do return their top 3 from last year's squad
that placed 11th at NCAA's, where they were led by Dan
Ramsey and Jeremy Mwenda's 4th and 64th place finishes.
After solid track seasons, the Saints look to juniors
John Johnston (15:09/31:24), Seth Jackson (15:11/32:14) and
Andrew Goodwin (4:21) to round out their top 7 and
look to the return of a healthy Steve Kiplagat who
was 58th at NCAA's in 2008.

John's Lynch's squad returns everyone but their 3-4 runners
in Alex Sico and Seth Yerye, and should be led by seniors
Mike Heymann (2nd at 2009 Regionals, 9th at NCAA's) and
Bobby Grim.
Josh Mitchell (15:31) and Ryan Millar (9:34 SC) look to
break in to the top 7 along with a transfer and freshman.

With the return of their entire top 12 from last year, John
Izzo's team is looking towards NCAA this fall.
Led by senior Brian Lang (Ind. '09 NCAA qualifier &
steeple AA in '10), the '10 squad looks to be the strongest
Yellowjacket group in recent history, and will be bolstered
by a large incoming class of 13.

Newly appointed head coach Michael Garger leads a squad that
loses its top 2 runners (Tom Williams to graduation, Eddie
Novara transfer to Geneseo), and looks to be lead by
sophomore indoor Mile and outdoor 1500m champion Nick
Guarino and four other seniors that return from last year's
7th place team.

The Lion's return their entire squad for 2010 with the
exception of senior Brandon Rodkewitz, and look to be led by
2009 NCAA individual qualifier TJ Bocchino and mid-year
transfer Rob Nihen (14:54 5k '09).
The team looks to seniors Dennie Waite (4:11 indoor
mile) and Kyle Roos (15:22); sophomores Max Sparshatt (2nd
frosh at 2009 AR), Andy Gallagher (4:00 1500), and Matt
Hernberg; and juniors Alex Yersak (15:11) and Andy Herschman
to give solid depth to the squad.
Key newcomers include Ryan Ure (30th at NJ State XC
Champs) and Dominic Tasco (1:54.1 800).

The Oneonta Red Dragons look to improve upon last year's 9th
place finish at regionals under the new leadership of Angelo
Posillico, and return their 2-7 men from that squad.
Despite the loss of front runner Nick Pampena, the
squad looks to the return of senior Sean Daly (DNR '09,
1:52/4:00 1500 in '10) and freshman Mitch Todorov (9:35) to
break into the top 7.

Championships loses 5 of its top 7 including their top four.

championship team, including their top 4.
Expect the Red Dragons to be led by sophomore Sean
Curry, who was 48th at NCAA's as a freshman.

The Saints return 5 of the top 7 including 2 top 15 NCAA
finishers in National Champion Wendy Pavlus and Jenna Hulton
along with Meg Derby who improved steadily last fall and
finished 40th at NCAA’s. We should also have improved depth
with returning 14 first-year women coming in.

The Blue Knights return 4 of 7 from the '09 runner-up
regional team.
However, the traditionally deep team has a plethora of key
returners that should keep them near the top of the region.
NCAA steeple qualifier Marissa Liberati will likely
lead the way.
Another quality recruiting class will immediately fill in
the gaps.

The Violets made a huge leap forward in '09 and lost no
one to graduation.
However, #1 & #4 (Joan Kanarkawicz and Kerra Vick) and
studying abroad this fall.
They do return thew rest of the top 8 including
Kirsten Keller and Maeve Evans.
A big freshman group, led by Emily Cousens (11:10
3200 from New Hampshire) will help team contend for another
NCAA berth.

Schaffhouser. They
will be led by NCAA 10K qualifier Stefanie Braun. Transfer
Amanda Schermerhorn (4:45 1500) will add instant help.

in the Region, including 6th place finisher Jennifer
Randall. If Kate

Lauren Norton (12th at '09 Regional) is back after a spring
layoff and finally healthy after going to NCAA’s as both a
freshman and sophomore.
Meg O’Connor (#2 ) is back and ran pr’s in all her
track events last spring.
Hillary Snyder (Jr.) and Zarah Quinn (So.) will fill
in the next 2 spots.
