G109: Intensive Introductory German

Welcome to German 109, intensive introductory German. In this intensive German class for beginning students we will do the work of two regular semesters in one spring semester. At the end of this class you will be familiar with all of the basic sturctures of the German grammar, you will have an active vocabulary of approximately ... words, and a passive vocabulary of many more, you will be able to participate in a simple conversation in German and read short German texts. This will be a very intensive semester but you will be able to reap the fruits of you hard labor at the end of the term when you will be able to communicate with German speakers either in Germany or here in the U.S.
