German 109: Intensive Introductory German

Grading:

German 109 will have an oral/aural component as well as a written component. Your grade in this course will be determined on the basis of your class participation (including attendance!) and your homework (together 30% of your grade), the result of your quizzes (30% of your grade) and midterm and final (together 30%).

In addition to our textbook Deutsch heute (Moeller Liedhoff), sixth edition, you will need to buy the workbook that accompanies the book and I recommend that you also buy a good German language dictionary, either Collins or Langenscheidt.

I encourage all of you to participate in the German table on Wednesdays at 6 pm in ACDC and to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to improve your spoken German in an informal setting.
