For your independently written blog essay, you can either pick one of the places or events suggested below, or propose a field site of your choosing.

Once you choose a fieldsite, e-mail me (Leonard Nevarez) with the following information: (1) your field site, (2) when you plan to visit it — make sure it's open on that day, and (3) a few sentences (if it's not immediately apparent) about how it could be relevant to Hudson Valley agriculture. Only one student may write on a specific field event; however, other students are welcome to join you on your fieldtrip.

A community supported agriculture (CSA) farm (other than the Poughkeepsie Farm Project).

A farmers market (other than the Arlington farmers market).
