Special Note:
Academic accommodations are available for students with disabilities who are registered with the Office of Disability and Support Services. Please schedule an appointment with the instructor early in the semester to discuss any accommodations for this course which have been approved by the Director of Disability and Support Services as indicated in your DSS accommodation letter.

Class attendance and participation

Attendance is mandatory, and missing more than two classes will hurt your final grade. Participation entails having read the required readings by the date they are scheduled and coming to class prepared to discuss them, as well as taking part in the exercises conducted in class and on Blackboard.

Take-home exams

Students will write 3-5 pages of essays in four separate take-home exams. For each exam, questions will be distributed by the previous class.

Flexible team website

Students will organize in teams and produce a website of original research using the methods of flexible production. Once completed, the rest of the class will evaluate and assign collective grades to the team websites. After receiving their website grade, students will write individual briefs reflecting upon and critiquing the flexible production model as a tool for organizing collective action in business and education.

Students' final grade for this assignment will average (1) their team's collective grade for the website and (2) their individual grade for the brief.
